Candy Chou Okuhama joined ASC Trust in 2011 as the Director of Sales and Marketing. She brings more than 20 years of sales and management experience to ASC. Her responsibilities include business development, client relationship management, and participant retirement success. Prior to joining ASC, she worked in the Relocation and Transportation Services industry for 8 years as a sales manager.
Candy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guam, where she majored in Business Administration with concentration on Business Management. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversant in Japanese.
She has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professional designation from Fiduciary360, and has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility.
Candy is an active member in the community as a Member of American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, Member Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam, Member Guam Contractor’s Association, Member of Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Member of Guam Chamber of Commerce, Member Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association.
Outside of work, Candy enjoys yoga, cooking, and travel.
Loida began her career with ASC in 1998 and has over fifteen years of experience working in the area of qualified retirement plans. Loida is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of retirement plans under ASC’s administration. She oversees the transaction department of the company, handling cash management, distributions, contributions, enrollment processing, and trading. Prior to joining ASC, she worked as an external auditor, auditing firms engaged in stock trading operations, automotive, manufacturing, retail, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and educational institutions.
Loida graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, major in Accounting.
David was educated at the University of Saint Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has twenty five years of experience working with qualified retirement plans. Over twenty of these years have been in Micronesia, where he was one of the original members of the ASC staff. David is also authorized to transact as an Investment Adviser in Guam.
David is an expert on organizational retirement plans in the region. He has been asked to provide his insight into the state of retirement plans in the region at the annual Pacific Regional Investment Conference.
David is also an active member in the Guam community. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors with the Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA), Past Chairman of the Guam Chamber of Commerce, Past Chairman and active board member of the University of Guam Endowment Foundation, Past President of the Rotary Club of Guam, Past Chairman of the Committee to Get Guam Working, and Past President of the Employers Council. Additionally, he is an active supporter of the ASC Islanders soccer and basketball teams.
David is married to Teresa Ada John and they have two sons, Anthony and David Pedro.
Michelle is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and has served as the Board Secretary and Club Service Director of the Rotary Club of Guam Sunrise. She also participated as a Junior Achievement judge, was a member of the Guam Young Professionals, and is a current Notary Public. Michelle is an ongoing volunteer in various church ministries at the New Covenant Life Church.
Gaby was educated at the University of Guam. She joined ASC in 1997 and has over sixteen years of experience working in the area of qualified retirement plans and other employee benefit plans. As Director of Client Relations, Gaby works with a team of dedicated managers and associates committed to service excellence and plan relationship management. She is licensed to transact as an Investment Adviser on Guam and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professional designation from Fiduciary 360 having received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility.
Gaby is also an active member in the Guam community. She is the current Secretary of the Guam Young Professionals, a standing committee of the Guam Chamber of Commerce, Endowment Board member at Bishop Baumgartner Memorial School, member of the Wage and Compensation Committee of the Guam Women’s Chamber, past Treasurer of the Soroptimist International of the Marianas, and is an active parishioner of the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica in Hagatna.
Don was educated at Sophia University in Tokyo and has over 23 years of experience working in the area of qualified retirement plans. He has been with ASC since 1995. Before coming to ASC, Don developed and administered all employee benefit plans for Continental Micronesia, Inc.
Don has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professional designation from Fiduciary360. He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility and employee benefit plans with a focus in qualified retirement plan compliance.
In addition, Don is a currently a Board Director for multiple organizations including the Guam Chamber of Commerce, the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve for Guam/CNMI, Rotary Club of Tumon Bay and Guam National Golf Federation. He is also the past President of the Guam Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.
